This workshop will be run by Charles Abel, an award-winning journalist and editor who provides media skills training to senior executives in oil (not BP!) finance (not RBS or Lehman), public sector and agriculture.
A one day media workshop focusing on crisis management but also covering all aspects of media relations and management.
Whether or not you have a PR agency in place, direct relations between an organisation and the press and via your agency play a significant role in your business reputation, and how the organisation is perceived by customers, shareholders – and your competitors. And this is not just reserved for HQ or the corporate communications department, every person that has any level of contact with the media will have an influence on the business’ reputation.
Whilst the main focus will be ‘dealing with a pharmaceutical crisis’ the workshop will also include aspects of day-to-day press contact, dealing with impromptu press requests, and developing overall good media relations.
Every delegate will have a live face-to-face interview, and one on the phone, and each delegate will receive written feedback.
Anyone that is ever likely to encounter direct communication with a journalist or editor, whether courted or not.
